Century Group is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near San Rafael, CA
Job Description:
- Handle daily management of core HR functions to support employment lifecycle.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and develop human resources staff in partnership with the VPHR.
- Provide support and guidance to people managers.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Field and respond to general inquiries from employees and people managers.
- Utilize the Human Resource Management System [HRMS] (Paycom) and other technologies to the fullest extent.
- Ensure compliance with program-specific employee documentation requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate employee files and data.
- Run and provide clear and accurate reports for internal and external purposes.
- Partner with payroll administrator to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely.
- Deliver HR services in a manner that fosters a positive culture aligned with organizational diversity, equity, and inclusive principles.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Knowledgeable of California employment laws
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, or business administration (relevant work experience may substitute education on a year-by-year basis)
- 5 years as a senior HR generalist/manager supporting 200 employees; nonprofit and Union experience highly preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Experience supporting fair and equitable resolution of sensitive employee relations issues
- Current professional HR certification or plan to take exam within six months of hire
- Proficient with mid-sized HR, timekeeping, and payroll systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
