Century Group is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near San Rafael, CA

We have a great opportunity for a Human Resources Manager (hybrid) to join a non-profit organization that is dedicated to breaking the barriers that prevent community members from supporting themselves and each other. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $52 to $57 per hour.
Job Description:
  • Handle daily management of core HR functions to support employment lifecycle.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and develop human resources staff in partnership with the VPHR.
  • Provide support and guidance to people managers.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Field and respond to general inquiries from employees and people managers.
  • Utilize the Human Resource Management System [HRMS] (Paycom) and other technologies to the fullest extent.
  • Ensure compliance with program-specific employee documentation requirements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate employee files and data.
  • Run and provide clear and accurate reports for internal and external purposes.
  • Partner with payroll administrator to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely.
  • Deliver HR services in a manner that fosters a positive culture aligned with organizational diversity, equity, and inclusive principles.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Knowledgeable of California employment laws
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, or business administration (relevant work experience may substitute education on a year-by-year basis)
  • 5 years as a senior HR generalist/manager supporting 200 employees; nonprofit and Union experience highly preferred.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Experience supporting fair and equitable resolution of sensitive employee relations issues
  • Current professional HR certification or plan to take exam within six months of hire
  • Proficient with mid-sized HR, timekeeping, and payroll systems
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
