**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our civil defense legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in all aspects of the legal process, from case inception to resolution, and provide support to senior attorneys. 2 yeards as a a licensed attorney years preferred but if you can try cases right off thr bat, less than one year will be considered Previous paralegal experience will be beneficial
**Duties:**
-Try Case soon after joining the firm
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Assist in preparing for trials and hearings.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other attorneys.
- Review and analyze legal documents.
**Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree in Law or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the.Texad state bar association egible to be admitted to federal courts
- Strong legal research skills using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and writing.
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Experience in litigation and court proceedings.
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures
