California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is Hiring a COORDINATOR (FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICES) Near Sacramento, CA
ABOUT THE JOB: Under the direction of the Deputy Chief, Fire Fleet, the Assistant Chief/ Coordinator (Fire & Rescue) provides professional staff support for research and development of the Cal OES Fire and Rescue vehicle purchase, acquisition program, and fleet management, including preventive maintenance and repair. Responds to emergencies and incidents within California or outside of California as assigned. The position provides guidance and coordination for operations of fleet during emergency operation incidents; provide staff support for Fire and Rescue Division committees and working groups and perform other related duties as assigned while overseeing Cal OES Fire and Rescue mechanics.

Working Conditions
MEDICAL CLEARANCE: An approved medical evaluation and clearance will be required prior to being hired.
DMV PULL PROGRAM: This position is required to have a valid California Driver’s License (CDL) and participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Employer Pull Notice Program, as outlined on the duty statement.

Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Science, Fire Administration, Public or Business Administration or closely related field preferably.
- Demonstrate management and oversight experience collaborating, coordinating and communicating with the Incident Command System, SEMS, NIMS, and the Mutual Aid System.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with various Federal, State, and Local agencies.
- Ability to obtain consensus on direction that will ensure continuation of the development portion of projects and help ensure successful completion.
