Job Summary:

Individual will receive four to five months of initial training on day shift, before moving to 4 days on, 4 days off schedule (6PM to 6AM). This schedule would include built in overtime for some weeks with additional opportunities for overtime available. Potentially changing from nights to swing shift in the future. Training will be provided for those with no experience. Unique work environment with 10% sitting and 90% active lab work.

Note: We are a federally regulated industry subject to pre-hire drug testing and random drug tests. Accordingly, we must abide by federal drug laws, not state drug laws.

Responsibilities will include analyzing and reporting of various petrochemical products including crude oil, fuel oils, middle distillates, finished products, etc. as well as LPG and LNG.

– Responsible for conducting laboratory analysis.
– Understand and keep current with all laboratory safety and reporting techniques.
– Complete all laboratory reports as applicable.
– Understand and keep current with all laboratory analysis methods.
– Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
– Position requires a dependable and reliable individual; whose daily presence adds to the success of the department.
– Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

– A Degree in Science or equivalent work experience in a laboratory setting is beneficial, but NOT required.
– Ability to understand ASTM standards and procedures (training will be provided)
– Ability to multitask and work on several test methods simultaneously
– Must be able to work with all chemical, petrochemical, and petroleum products.
– Must be able to differentiate colors accurately by sight.
– Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
– Must have flexible schedule as position will include evenings, weekend and holidays, based on customer need.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
