POSITION SUMMARY - The role of an Electrical Superintendent is critical in successfully leading and managing large-scale electrical projects. The Superintendent is the primary point of contact on-site, supervising project teams, coordinating activities, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule objectives compliance. They work closely with General Foremen, the general contractor, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote project excellence and contribute to the company's promise of delivering exceptional electrical installations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES -
•Act as the primary field site authority and point of contact, leading and managing electrical project field operations.
•Collaborate and effectively communicate with General Foremen, field employees, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless coordination and integration of project activities.
•Ensure the efficiency of the designated team.
•Foster a mindset that prioritizes safety and compliance with safety guidelines.
•Develop and execute project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to meet project milestones and deadlines.
•Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints, ensuring accurate implementation and compliance with project requirements.
•Allocate resources, equipment, and manpower efficiently to optimize project productivity and achieve project goals.
•Offer assistance, direction, and encouragement to the General Foremen and field teams, promoting a cooperative and highly productive workplace.
•Implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, and ensure work meets established quality standards and customer expectations.
•Effectively handle project finances by keeping track of expenses, overseeing budget allocation, and implementing measures to manage costs proactively.
•Communicate regularly with Project Managers, upper management, and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
•Resolve conflicts, address issues, and make critical decisions to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
•Offer insight and ideas during project planning meetings to help facilitate successful project implementation.
•Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and electrical construction advancements to continually enhance project outcomes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES -
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Experience with project scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation.
•Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and empower teams to achieve project goals.
•Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
•Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple priorities and complex project logistics.
•Ability to communicate effectively.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ladder diagrams, and technical documents.
•Proficiency in using tools, equipment, and technology related to electrical work.
•Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
•Strong attention to detail
•Able to lift 50lbs and climb up and down a ladder safely.
•Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
•Ability to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms.
•Committed to a minimum of 40-hour work weeks.
•Ability to work in and around restricted/ confined spaces
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -
•Journeyman Electrician License or Equivalent Certification
•Minimum 10 years of electrical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
•Experience in management and/or leading teams.
