An Accounts Payable associate must extremely organized and focused on ensuring all invoices are received and recorded accurately and timely into our accounting software. Must be proficient working with a computer, must pay attention to detail and have good communication skills.

Routine Tasks:

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as pricing, purchasing, receiving, management, etc. to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices.
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports as needed.
• Reviewing vendor statements to ensure accuracy for aging AP.
• Record keeping.
• Assists with other tasks and miscellaneous financial reports as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with accounting software, excel, and other computer applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organization and responsibility skills are a must.
• Experience with several payment methods such as checks, manual payments, electronic payments, etc.
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to write, read and do math problems.
• Must work well with others and follow directions.
• Works well under pressure.
