Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team and play a key role in assessing and underwriting commercial mortgages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial mortgage underwriting, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate deals and financing requests for bridge, construction, and perm loans, including financial statements, property information, and market analysis.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to determine loan eligibility and ensure compliance with lending guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with the origination team, borrowers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.
• Analyze borrower creditworthiness, financial stability, and property feasibility to mitigate potential risks and determine potential loan structures.
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports and loan request packages for deal placement.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting commercial lending practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial mortgage underwriting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and underwriting software/tools.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate financing principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
