We are looking for an experienced and analytical corporate finance leader to help bring this dream to life as we continue to grow across our international locations. This position will be responsible for all financial planning, modeling, analysis, and reporting for the organization.

This position will report to: SVP of Finance

Location: Miami, FL

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models, pro-formas, and presentations analyzing real estate and development investment opportunities, development scenarios (mixed-use, office, retail, hospitality, multi-family, affordable housing, etc.), budgets, cash flow projections, return-on-investment, and other financial performance metrics that will support strategic decision-making.
  • Research real estate, construction, and development market conditions, trends, and comparable data points.
  • Use financial expertise to interpret data and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial & business reporting to provide an update / outlook on business performance to support planning decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the various executives and departmental leaders to understand and document budget variances and provide planning and forecasting support.
  • Analyze, review, and interpret real estate related documents, including but not limited to operating statements, rent rolls, leases, construction bids, and other related material.
  • Conduct various analyses and studies as assigned to support executive leadership. Develop presentations of findings and results.
  • Prepare annual operating and capital budgets/forecasts and presentations, considering inputs from various department leaders to align with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Monitor and report on real estate portfolio’s occupancy rates, space utilization, and other portfolio metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, construction, legal, and property management.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to strategic development opportunities.
  • Conduct financial analysis for the firm’s real estate portfolio and transactions and present conclusions and recommendations in a compelling format.
  • Gather information on possible development incentives, potential tax credits, and government subsidies.
  • Work with the development team in underwriting new projects and analyzing financial data regarding developing, financing, acquisitions, and/or disposition of investments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and manage team of Analysts.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment where assignments may change based upon needs of management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed documents, such as contracts, leases, market research, construction bids, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of key financial metrics including, NPV, ROI, IRR, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership and prepare organized and easy-to-follow presentations.

Education and Experience:

  • BA / BS in Business/Finance, Real Estate Development or related field.
  • 7 years experience in a finance or analytical role in real estate or development, preferably with a development company or real estate advisory company.
