DOUBLETREE BY HILTON MIAMI ARPT CONVENTION CTR is Hiring a Human Resource Manager Near Miami, FL

The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport & Convention Center is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. Located just South of Miami International Airport off the Dolphine Expressway. The hotel has 334 guest rooms in addition to over 24,000 square feet of retail space, 20,000 Square feet of Hotel Meeting and Function Space along with our Convention Center which boasts 152,000 square feet of meeting, event and exhibit space.
This position will be an exempt position and will report to the General Manager in addition to the Regional Director of Human Resources.
The Double Tree Human Resources Team is focused on employe morale and compliance in addition to recruiting the right talent pool. The overall goal of the Human Resources Team is to become the best employer in the market. The right candidate will be an outgoing individual with exceptional customer service skills in addition to having a background based in fair hiring standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and initiating employee engagement activities.
  • Monitor and assign brand standards and corporate hotel related training.
  • Assist in providing backup to onboarding for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies and payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining document signatures.
  • Prepare payroll by calculating and entering pay into ADP Workforce Now, distributing checks, and maintaining payroll records.
  • Maintain employee human resources records by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates, as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs, medical insurance, and disability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submission, and notifying employees of approvals.
  • Document and track human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Accomplish human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • With HR Director, ensures compliance with labor regulations.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • 2-4 years proven experience in HR management Required.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Required Experience in ADP Workforce Now
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office in addition to HRIS Systems (Hireology) will be a plus.
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
  • Additional HR training (e.g., SHRM-CP) will be a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related academic field and/or work equivalent is Required.
