StevenDougas is currently partnering with a Real Estate Developer in Miami seeking a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller (depending on level) to join their team.
The Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with the budget and close process.
Responsibilities:
-Maintaining financial reports and GL accounts.
-Preparing journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations
-Assist with the review of the annual operating budgets and performance projections.
-Conduct internal audits
-Meeting reporting deadlines
-Ensuring compliance with GAAP
-Review and oversee AP automation
Qualifications:
-BS Degree in Accounting or related field
-3 years in property management and / or real estate development
-Working knowledge of GAAP
-Yardi experience preferred
-Strong Excel
