Description
The Office Assistant is responsible for performing a range of clerical and administrative tasks to support daily operations in our office setting. In this position, you will play a critical role in keeping our office a positive, welcoming, and productive environment. You will also get an opportunity to interact with all levels of staff and various customers and clients. The ideal candidate will support the office staff on a part-time basis during our peak season, April through August.
Essential Functions
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to sit; rarely required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb and descend a flight of stairs as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, approximately 20-30 hours per week (Monday through Friday). Extended hours, nights and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs.
Travel
This position requires no regular and customary travel.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 2 years of office or customer service experience, required
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
Qualifications
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Flexible and able to prioritize tasks as they come in
· Ability to effectively manage time and work within a fast-paced environment
