R-00137166 Description Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a dynamic RF Systems Engineer to join a talented team of engineers and scientists within the RF/EW Threat System Development Department. The department’s goals include developing radar threat system evaluations, models, HWIL test assets, and test range assets. The department performs radio frequency (RF) design, custom hardware builds, algorithm development, and analysis across a variety of both research and development and operational tasks. Primary Responsibilities The candidate will help evaluate, select, integrate, and test commercial off the shelf (COTS) parts for forming radar application test assets. The ideal candidate will have an interest in supporting the full product life cycle from concept through prototype to production. Basic Qualifications * Candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited institute in Electrical Engineering and 0-2 years of experience. * Candidate will have prior work with RF electronics. * Candidate must have a basic understanding of radar applications. * Candidate should have design experience working in bands from UHF to Ka * Candidate must have experience working with lab test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. * Candidate must understand fundamentals of antenna theory (types, designs, beam patterns, etc.) * Candidate must be a US citizen with a Secret clearance. Candidate will live in Huntsville or be willing to relocate to Huntsville Alabama area ​ Desired Skills: * Preference will be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following qualifications: * Experience integrating RF systems. * Experience with testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex RF systems. * Experience developing test plans and use cases for test ranges.
