Job Title: Medical Office Call Center Representative

Department: Oncology

Reports To: Operations Director

General Summary of Duties: This position is responsible for providing a full range of telephone operator duties, including triaging calls and relaying messages. Assists with clerical duties as required. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff in a busy Medical Oncology Practice.

Essential Functions:

• Answer incoming telephone calls
• Screen telephone calls to ensure routing to the appropriate department or individual
• Assist with appointment scheduling including cancellation and reschedule
• Ensure complete and accurate data entry
• Utilize park, paging, and voicemail systems to ensure proper routing of telephone calls
• Provide general information about Millennium Oncology e.g. directions, scope of services
• Fax orders
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
• Assist efficient flow of information between patients and medical staff
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including flexibility, priority setting, problem solving, and conflict resolutions
• Maintain highly positive attitude
• Utilize time and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Bilingual preferred
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
