Department: Women's Way (Residential) Position:SUPPORT SERVICES ASSISTANT Reports to: Support Services Manager Status: Full-time (30/hours), Non-Exempt Schedule: Day Shift Date: March 2024 Hourly rate from $19.00 to $21.00 JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Support Services Manager the Support Services Assistant works to in support of the food services, inventory, purchasing, and overall ancillary client services. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and/or GED with 1 or more years of food service, food handling, inventory and/or supply management experience. Hawai'i Food Handlers Certification preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Regular attendance is required for the position.
Supports with coordination for special event planning for FTS.
Provides support for the following activities:
Ordering and inventory of food, supplies and household goods
Menu planning and coordination of meal prep (in coordination with Dietician)
Quarterly fire drills and annual emergency/disaster drills
Monthly building inspection in common areas, offices and individual client rooms
Following agency procedures for appropriate handling of all Emergency Response Codes
Documentation into the electronic medical record system (WITS) as needed.
Works with the Support Services Manager to with outside vendors, Executive and Clinical Director, and FTS Facilities Manager as it relates to the care and upkeep of the facility (including grounds keeping, household work orders and general maintenance issues).
Covers support staff shift work between programs (as needed).
Maintains work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner.
Participates in regular agency training and activities.
Correctly and promptly follow specified agency procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Response Codes.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs other related management duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Able to meet basic standards of physical, mental health, and communication demands specified by State and/or professional accreditation standards applicable to this agency. Initial/Annual criminal background check, pre-employment, annual physical examination, CPR/first aid, TB test, and driver abstract compliance with agency policy are required.
