Quality Assurance & Reliability Manager
Long Island NY

We're searching for a talented Quality Assurance & Reliability Manager to join our client's dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the exceptional quality and reliability of our industry-leading electronic products.
Make a Real Impact
  • Collaborate with design engineers to proactively identify and mitigate potential failure risks using FMEA analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve in-house and field failures, driving continuous quality improvement.
  • Own and manage the FRACAS database, ensuring effective corrective action implementation.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Partner with production management to optimize quality processes and provide valuable feedback to assemblers.
  • Develop quality and production management to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of product data review.
  • Participates in the GIDEP process.
  • Contributes to the decision about obsolete parts and diminishing sources.
  • Maintain original documents and upload released documents to database.
  • Coordinate the issue, maintenance, and closure of Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and (SCAR's)
  • Follow up with internal personnel and suppliers regarding open CAR's and SCAR's.
  • Create trend reports for analysis of all non-conformances.
  • Generate semi-annual supplier rating report and manage supplier responses.
  • Revise both QC and QA procedures as required.
  • Assist Final QA with product data review and shipment verification.
  • Read and interpret electrical test data to determine atypical, Out of Family and non-conforming results.
  • Perform ECN / Print and SCD Reviews / Contract Reviews.
Who We're Looking For
  • Degreed engineer (B.S.) with 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, ideally in the semiconductor or aerospace industry.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in industry standards like ISO 9001 and/or AS9100, with a working knowledge of MIL-PRF-19500 and MIL-PRF-38534 a plus.
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies (Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys, etc.) and quality management tools (Microsoft Word, Excel)
