Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director of Technology
Leads the development and evolution of the Technology department s strategy, ensuring alignment with the Libraries mission, vision, and strategic initiatives.
Collaborates with Libraries leadership and relevant stakeholders to develop and implement technology-related policies and standards.
Directs Technology initiatives from inception to completion, including needs assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and management of the project portfolio.
Collaborates across all Library units, JMU IT, external constituents, and vendors to achieve organizational objectives and to identify opportunities for technical innovation and improvement.
Supervises the Technology teams, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in contributing to Libraries and the DATech unit s mission and vision.
Directs the design, implementation, and maintenance of Libraries technological infrastructure, systems, applications, and web presence.
Participates in organization-wide leadership activities and efforts, professional development, scholarship, and service activities, as appropriate.
