GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

Perform sanitation and equipment set up duties on the production line.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS :

• Disassemble and reassemble production filling equipment as directed / trained using hand tools.
• Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and safe at all times.
• Follow instructions and SOP's in the cleaning and sanitizing of all production equipment.
• Use only company approved cleaning chemicals per manufacturer's and company's guidelines.
• Set up production lines for specific products as directed per production schedule
• Perform daily and other cleaning assignments as scheduled by supervision to maintain overall plant cleanliness.
• Performs some minor maintenance on equipment (pumps, tanks, hoses, filling hoppers) during cleaning process to maintain integrity and performance of equipment during production processes.
• Keep accurate records of all cleanings performed.
• Keep Sanitation Supervisor informed of any / all unsanitary practices that are observed or may occur at the plant.
• May perform other duties as required.
• Works cooperatively with co-workers and other departments.
• Maintains punctuality and attendance at work.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
