Key Responsibilities :

• Administer and reconcile payroll for bi-monthly and monthly schedules across designated companies.
• Ensure timely execution of payroll, confirming data transmission accuracy to ADP.
• Generate and review reports for pre and post-payroll processing validation.
• Manage final pay disbursements following company policies and state laws.
• Investigate and respond to internal and external payroll inquiries as needed.
• Handle complex payroll tasks, including garnishments and local tax calculations.
• Initiate manual payments and stop payment orders.
• Assess and propose improvements to control processes to maintain high accuracy levels.
• Document current processes and suggest enhancements.
• Assist in the preparation of various reports, including standard and custom queries and audits, ensuring data accuracy.
• Contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of new system features or upgrades.
• Aid in payroll-related audits.
• Escalate issues involving unusual or suspicious activities.
• Coordinate with Human Resources, Operations, Finance, and management on payroll matters.
• Support the department with special projects and analytical tasks.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience in multi-state payroll and tax administration.
• Experience with Workday payroll systems.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
