Remote Credentialing Specialist Wanted!
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about healthcare? A client of ours is seeking a Clinical Credentialing Specialist to ensure clinical staff meet all necessary qualifications and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Verify Credentials: Check the qualifications, licensure, certifications, and work history of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Primary Source Verification: Confirm credentials directly with educational institutions, licensing boards, and certification agencies.
- Process Applications: Handle credentialing for new hires and re-credentialing for existing staff, ensuring all paperwork is complete.
- Manage Compliance: Ensure all clinical staff meet standards set by regulatory bodies like The Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS, and more.
- Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of credentialing information, including license expiration dates and certification renewals.
- Implement Policies: Develop and implement credentialing policies in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate Between Departments: Work closely with HR, medical staff offices, and clinical departments to streamline the credentialing process.
- Prepare for Audits: Ensure all credential files are complete and up to date for internal and external audits.
- Communicate Effectively: Act as a liaison between clinical staff, healthcare organizations, and regulatory bodies to address credentialing issues or inquiries.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of credentialing experience
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) strongly preferred
Salary: $70K - $110K
