Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Activities Director to join our team at a nursing home facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning, social work, and senior care, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of recreational activities and events for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to understand individual needs and preferences
- Provide support in social work and caregiving activities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Offer counseling on aging issues and dementia care
- Manage schedules and ensure timely execution of planned activities

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in event planning or social work, preferably in a nursing home setting
- Knowledge of senior care practices and principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently
- Certification or degree in a related field such as social work or senior care is a plus
