The Royal Group, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to support our Royal Bay facility in Cicero, IL. The Senior Account Payable Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager in maintaining the accuracy of accounting records and production of various reports for local management. Process and verify vendor invoices, resolving purchasing pricing and quantity variance with Buyers. The Royal Group’s mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Manage the monthly accounts payable process and vendors invoices that detail services provided and apply adjustments, as necessary.Take ownership of complex data consolidation processes, prepare documentation and process invoices for all roll stock inventory purchases.Verify accuracy, authorization, and coding of vendor invoices in accordance with 3-way match review process.Communicate and coordinate with company buyers to resolve purchase pricing and quantity variances. Interface with vendors to resolve discrepancies or research payment issues.Prepare voucher documentation package for check disbursement listing to generate checks. Assist the Accounting Manager with managing unvouchered reports in multiple systems.Assist in month-end and year end close activities required to support timely completion of PO reconciliations. Assist with month-end reporting and account tie-outs as required.Maintain vendor filing system, ensuring new vendors have W-9’s. tax exception documentation, remittance advice and filing AP documentation.Maintain vendor payment status and process, ensuring they are properly classified and updated in all systems.Cross-train with other accounting team members to ensure coverage when others are on vacation and/or leave.Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: A colleague degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred but not required.Five years of A/P experience in the corrugated industry prefer or another related field.Experience with ACH payment and strong understanding of generally accepted account principles (GAAP).Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite is a plus. PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Colleague degree in accounting or another related field. Billing or Accounts Payable experience in the Corrugated industry.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tables. Tech savvy and capable of learning new tools and systems. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Language Skills – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with professional staff and external stakeholders.Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentage. Ability to compute cost, profits, rates, and ratios.Reasoning Ability – Ability to think critically about tasks, solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, or oral.
