Job Description: Senior Project Manager
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: Until End of Year, with High Likelihood of Extension
Preferred Location: Onsite/Hybrid in Buffalo, NY (3 days a week)
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Buffalo, NY. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with at least 10 years of experience, and possess a PMP certification. The role requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can effectively drive projects with minimal guidance and ensure the delivery of high-quality results. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Agile methodologies and have experience working with C-level project sponsors. Finance experience is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track project deliverables to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Deliver high-quality, detailed technical documentation of business requirements in conjunction with product, technical, and business teams, including workflow diagrams, GUI definitions, and screen mock-ups.
- Develop a deep understanding of data models and database architecture for profitability management tools, and conduct comprehensive front-to-back analysis of workflows for the product.
- Oversee the administration of documentation, including product development schedules, release schedules, bug tracking, user manuals, testing, and UAT.
- Drive effective and impactful communication related to program activity, serving as a key point person for the product team and partnering with key stakeholders to ensure active management of ongoing issues, risks, and other pertinent activities.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure their expectations are met, and ensure that team issues are elevated and addressed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Senior-level Project Manager with 10 years of project management experience.
- PMP Certified.
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies.
- Proven experience working with project sponsors, including C-level executives.
- Finance experience is highly desired.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
