About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Program Management to join their dedicated team. This role is pivotal in leading the program management function for both preclinical and clinical space, with a focus on small molecule cancer therapeutics. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and advancing critical portfolio programs, contributing to the development of project and portfolio strategy, and ensuring the seamless execution of integrated drug discovery and development plans. This includes clinical alliance management, fostering a collaborative environment, and representing the program team with various leadership entities. The VP will also be involved in active portfolio management, decision-making, and the development of program management best practices.Candidates for this role should have at least 15 years of relevant biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience, with a minimum of 7 years in program management. A strong scientific background in biology, chemistry, or a related field is essential, with a preference for candidates holding an MS or PhD in science (an MBA is a plus). Oncology experience is a requirement, as is a proven track record in leading program management activities for global oncology programs from early to late stages of clinical development. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills, and be adept at handling complexity, ambiguity, and prioritizing effectively. Experience in portfolio management, strategic planning, risk management, and budget setting is also necessary for this role.
