Established in 1933, Thomas Brick is Northeast Ohio’s premier distributor of tile, stone, and architectural products. As a family-owned brick, tile, stone, and architectural products supplier, we provide our customers with the guidance and expertise needed to create something unique and beautiful. Our Beachwood showroom has over 600 samples of brick, stone, and pavers on display. Commercially, we work with architects, developers, and business owners to provide the tools they need to bring their project visions to life. We have been fortunate to supply material on projects such as Cleveland Indians Progressive Field, Rock Mortgage Fieldhouse, SouthPark Mall, Cleveland Clinic, American Greetings, Beachwood Place, Pinecrest, and Crocker Park.
We are currently seeking an experienced SHOWROOM DESIGN-SALES CONSULTANT to join our high-performing team at our Beachwood location. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting clients with selections, document and process orders, and build strong relationships with customers and trade partners. Tile experience is not necessary, but willingness and eagerness to learn is a must. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
· Help design and assist residential and commercial customers with their tile and stone selections.
· Acquire and maintain sufficient product knowledge and drive to continuously increase knowledge base.
· Foster long-term relationships with our trade partners.
· Educate customers about our product offerings and recommend appropriate materials for their lifestyles and environments.
· Maintain the showroom and sample department inventory and organization.
· Participate in showroom activities, company and association events, and on-going education programs.
· Physically lift and move larger tile, stone, and display boards.
· Promote and contribute to a working atmosphere across all departments that results in strong cooperation, efficiency, and teamwork.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
· Ability to think creatively with an eye for color, layout, materials selection, etc.
· Passion for high end home design, building, remodeling, and current trends.
· Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
· Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields.
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise preferred but not required.
· Natural talent and eye for design with ability to work well with customers and trade partners.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
· Ability to build rapport with customers.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment.
