Job Description

The Director, Investor Relations reports to the Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. The Director, Investor Relations will act as the primary contact for MasterBrand with investors and analysts and will assist in crafting investor messaging that accurately and effectively communicates MasterBrand’s strategy, business initiatives, and financial performance. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with both buy-side and sell-side analysts through a robust investor marketing plan, including organization of non-deal roadshows and bank conferences. In addition to outreach, this role facilitates the two-way flow of information by advising company management about industry and market trends, competitor news and investor feedback that are relevant to MasterBrand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual investor relations plan, including scheduling and organization of investor conferences, road shows, and quarterly earnings calls.

  • Create and maintain investor marketing materials, including earnings releases and presentations, as well as support the annual report development.

  • Host calls and field written inquiries from buy-side and sell-side as needed.

  • Utilize investor targeting tools to develop target lists for outreach and meetings.

  • Collaborate with various internal functions, such as external reporting, strategy, FP&A, legal as well as the executive leadership team, to develop company talking points and support writing of quarterly earnings script and Q&A.

  • Work with 3rd party vendors to monitor trading activity and stock performance and provide management with information on shareholder activity.

  • Track industry news and key competitor/peer releases and prepare summaries for management when appropriate.

  • Review sell-side research notes and any related modeling changes (e.g. estimates, price targets and ratings).

  • Manage IR budget and ensure completion of objectives within budget.

  • Assist with ad hoc special projects as needed (e.g. investor day, plant tour, etc.).

  • Ensure effective & efficient systems and controls are in place within investor relations to ensure a sound control environment and Sarbanes Oxley compliance where applicable.

  • Hire, train and retain skilled staff (currently 1) through career development and mentoring.

  • Consistently demonstrate The MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required. MBA or Masters Degree preferred.

  • 7 years of experience in investor relations or equity research for publicly traded companies.

  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, capital markets and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Proven ability to build relationships in a hybrid work environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Positive and solution-orientated attitude and approach

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (oral and written) required

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Workiva, and BD Corporate

  • Travel required from time to time [Ability to travel up to 25% of the time]
