Dynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc is Hiring a Sales Engineer Near Andover, MN

Dynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc. (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a full-time Sales Engineer. As a Sales Engineer for DSTI, the expectation will be to grow the business through leveraging incoming leads, strategically developing partnerships in new and existing accounts, and supporting customer growth opportunities. A primary focus will be balancing the relationship between DSTI and the customer while clearly communicating the requirements and expectations between the two organizations.

We are a locally owned global manufacturing company that designs and produces high-performance custom fluid sealing solutions for a variety of industries including medical, aerospace, oil and gas, food packaging, and alternative energy. We take pride in our clean and modern state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This position offers the opportunity to travel (domestically and abroad) on occasion. However, the majority of the time will be spent in our Andover, MN location.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with highly technical professionals across the globe
  • Maintain sales volume through proven strategies on new and existing opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a strategic approach for relationship development, while effectively negotiating opportunities to optimize DSTI's strength and value.
  • Work with Application Engineers to understand the internal project status and appropriately communicate key information to supporting departments.
  • Effectively manage key/active projects while maintaining customer relationships to continually develop new opportunities and solutions.
  • Develop and present sales proposals to key stakeholders.
  • Be an effective member of the Sales Team to support department growth, process improvement, and team health.
  • Travel is Required 25% of the time to customer sites to discuss new business opportunities and to strengthen existing partnerships. This may include domestic or international travel.
  • Utilize the DSTI customer relationship management program (LPT) to effectively organize customer communication, project and customer classifications, relationship strategies, and defined opportunities.

Qualifications for a Sales Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or sales related field or relevant experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
  • 5-7 years' experience in customer service or sales for a technical industry.
  • Strong negotiation and people skills.
  • Experience in Outlook, Work, and Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Flexible Work Schedule

The typical schedule would be Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with flexibility. Please be aware that Sales Engineers work from our Andover, MN office. To help balance work and personal needs we allow occasional remote work, but this is not a full-time remote position.
