Ecore is looking for a new Lead Driver to join the York. PA team! As a Lead Driver you would be responsible for assisting the Transportation Manager in the day-to-day activities and leadership of the transportation department in York. As needed, you will assist in delivering the finished product to customers, picking up the raw materials from vendors, pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance on equipment and verifying inspections, licenses, etc. are current. Lead Driver Salary: $70,000-$75,000 (based on experience) Core Contributions: Promote safety and ensure the team has the tools it needs to be safe at all timesEnsure drivers are scheduled appropriately and that they get out on time each dayFill in when drivers call out or do not report for workAssist with administrative duties such as fuel tracking, safety and compliance reporting, time tracking, invoices, etc.Assist with maintenance activities, taking trucks in for repairs, PM’s, and inspectionsSafe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle Safe and timely transportation of freight from origin to destinationProper loading and unloading of freight with mechanical freight handling equipment as required, assuring safety and minimal risk of damage to cargo and danger to peopleHook and unhook trailers from the tractor itself or from convertor dollies, including pushing and/ or pulling dollies into place and cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear on semi-trailers and/ or the front support on convertor dolliesInspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip,Fueling and general light maintenance of vehicleCommunication with customers, vendors, company personnel regarding scheduling and future requirementsCheck shipping/transportation papers to determine the nature of load and to check for the presence of hazardous materialsEnsure that all shipment documentation required to move with shipment is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered.Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.Report all accidents and/ or incidents involving driver or company equipmentAttend meetings as required Essential Experiences:High school diploma or GEDMust possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License2 years of on-the-road tractor trailer driving experience is requiredAcceptable Motor Vehicle Record requiredAbility to meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Department of TransportationAbility to work a flexible schedule to meet operational requirements; occasional overnight requirements
