Accounting Clerk

Provide efficient and effective clerical support while preparing, calculating and processing bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, budgets and other financial records according to established procedures.

Performance Expectations

• Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, using computerized and manual systems.

• Enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, checks and invoices in a ledger.

• Prepare standard entries and accruals.

• Various month end duties completed by assigned deadline.

• Review accounting discrepancies with appropriate department.

• Perform related clerical duties, such as work processing, and maintaining filling and record systems.

• May be required for payroll duties.

Credentials

• Ability to maintain accuracy in financial records while paying attention to detail

• Ability to solve discrepancies in accounting data such as bills, invoices, and reports. Possess organizational skills in tasks to deal with the day's priorities and respond to urgently required special requests, while keeping in mind the need to complete routine tasks on schedule

• Ability to interpret accounts for accountants.

• Ability to assist others to complete routine tasks and work with others to ensure services are provided efficiently.

• Working knowledge of computer programs such as word processing, database, spreadsheet, and company GRP system.

• Ability to learn additional functionality in the ERP system, work procedures, and expand financial knowledge in areas.
