We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Artist to join our Packaging team based at our headquarters in Central New Jersey. Reporting to our Packaging Manager, responsibilities include reviewing and proofreading packaging artwork, modifying existing artwork, prepping files for production and posting to FTP website, photo-retouching, and downloading and maintaining license style guides. Duties include:
- Proof factory print samples and document required corrections and changes. Updates project status in system.
- Prep design files for production and post to FTP website.
- Ensure compliance with QC standards for all packaging samples.
- Create 3-D mock-up samples.
- Design plan-o-grams in accordance with Sales and Marketing guidelines.
- Provide put-up and folding instructions for overseas factories.
- Download licensor packaging style guides.
- Assist Packaging Manager with design projects to support the department including:
- Image requests
- Mapped Images
- Photo shoot shots
- Uploading images to online retailers
- Composite sheets
Qualified candidates should have graphic design experience with strong proficiency using Photoshop and Illustrator. Previous production design and print experience in a packaging environment a strong plus. Strong proofreading skills and good color sense are essential. Editorial background a plus.
