The purpose of this position is to maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of City buildings and surrounding areas for staff, visitors and/or tenants. This position will also lock and unlock buildings, purchase supplies, move furniture, run errands, and assist with special events. May be assigned other related duties.

• Cleans floors and stairs located in entryways, hallways, offices, and outside walks ways, sweeps, vacuums, dusts, mops, buffs, shampoos, spot clean, strips and refinishes, waxes and pressure washes. 
• Cleans restrooms in various City buildings by sanitizing and disinfecting walls, doors, door hardware, lockers, toilets, urinals, showers, floors, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer.
• Clean and disinfect a variety of surfaces in elevators, kitchens, break rooms, offices and hallways including doors, windows, sills, HVAC grills, and other surfaces. 
• Cleans furniture, tabletops, chairs, and office equipment including dusting computers, fire sprinklers, desks, blinds, and cubicles.
• Disposes of trash and cleans trash cans as needed. 
• Set up chairs and tables for meetings.
• Blows off sidewalks around buildings, patios, doors, and drains.
• Maintains cleaning supply inventory, stocks, and delivers supplies, and notifies supervisor of reordering needs.
• Notifies supervisor concerning repair needs. 
• Maintains and keeps cleaning tools and machines in a safe, operable condition. 
• Performs work during emergency/disaster situations. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.
