We are seeking passionate and dedicated part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with varying levels of neurodivergent and/or intellectual disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing mentoring assistance and support in daily living activities as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and creating a positive and nurturing environment. DSPs assist individuals in becoming involved and connected within their community, providing tailored support based on their preferences.

The role is located in White Plains, NY.

The client is a low-functioning non-verbal toddler and needs very close supervision. Needs hygiene care, help with feeding, bath time, and feeding. Also, would like recreational activities and play.

Must be CPR and Heimlich certified with experience caring for young children.

Shifts available:

• Monday and Friday: 3:30pm - 6:30pm

• Mentor and assist clients in their daily living activities
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all clients and staff
• Build positive relationships with clients and staff
• Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for assisting those in need
• Possesses a friendly disposition with a positive "can do" attitude
• Ability to work independently and consistently exercise good judgment

Qualifications:

• Caregiving experience required
• Experience working with individuals with neurodivergent and/or intellectual disabilities preferred
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Availability to work flexible hours
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record preferred

Required: Successful background check and fingerprinting
