Westchester County Government is Hiring a Project Manager Near White Plains, NY

The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking Project Managers for various types of projects in the Department’s Engineering Division. The positions work with design teams, including in-house and consultant architects and engineers, on a range of project types for the County, from small-scale single-discipline rehabilitation to large-scale multi-disciplinary new construction. Over the next ten years, the County will undertake important projects for new facilities, infrastructure rehabilitations, energy efficiency upgrades, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Performing and overseeing analysis, design, bid document preparation, budget development, construction-phase support,
  • Coordination with other County Departments, local municipalities and permitting entities, etc. in support of County goals and operations, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidates will possess a Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field, and at least two years of experience in design and construction projects for buildings, roads and bridges, or water and wastewater infrastructure. The level of the position and salary will depend on the experience of the candidate and the needs of the Department. Experience with the New York State Building Code and other permitting requirements is a plus.
