Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design electronic circuits for aviation computers and supporting systems such as test equipment and harnesses 
• Create Statements of Work for contracted services, such as board layout and manage the contractor throughout the project 
• Evaluate design choices to meet product functional requirements, environmental compatibility, and manufacturing lifecycle, creating reports and other documentation supporting design choices 
• Create test procedures and reports for electronic hardware 
• Provide engineering insight to Program management, sales, and marketing for new business proposals and customer support 
• Supporting manufacturing and repair departments for legacy products 
• Utilize standard electrical laboratory equipment to verify, debug, and rework electronic circuits 
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 years plus experience with comparable responsibilities 
• Digital design in the hundreds of MHz with ARM Cortex or similar complexity microcontrollers 
• Basic analog circuit design 
• Experience with design for Electro-Magnetic Compatibility for susceptibility and emissions 

 Experience in the following topics is desirable but not required:

• Schematic Capture and PCB layout with Altium Designer 
• Designing safety critical electrical systems 
• Designing to RTCA DO-160G, MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-704F, MIL-STD-461G, and similar qualification standards 
• Bare-metal embedded C to support software engineers in driver development 
• Python, Excel, and similar analysis tools 
• Subversion and similar version control tools 

 Education and Experience:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school
