What will you be doing?

• Analyze business and technical requirements for data warehouse and online applications

Design cloud-based data marts/warehouses for US Consumer Bank (USCB) analytical consumption, acting as technical lead for developing enterprise data architecture and maintaining data management standards

• Act as technical liaison to support implementation of USCB business and commercial data strategy and Customer Experience Transformation. Use business data and technical knowledge to perform data analysis and profiling to determine root cause, and to improve the accuracy of analytical model results
• Design databases to support business applications and develop and maintain a detail level of data strategy, data architecture, data models, and principles and standards for the enterprise warehouse
• Design and implement data storage strategies and techniques while taking into consideration critical business requirements including performance, scalability, information lifecycle, security, and ensure consistency in Enterprise Schema across all applications
• Play a key role in the implementation and ongoing support of metadata, master data management and data governance
• Work with solutions architects, data modelers, database administrators, and enterprise architects to perform high level review of database and application design and ensure a clear and consistent technical vision is maintained
• Analyze various source systems and operational data store to determine correct source of data required for the project
• Develop source to target mappings and data flows for Extract Transform Load (ETL) support
• Develop and maintain data flow diagrams, and conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Develop database structures for better performance, security and reliability of data structures
• Develop data architecture strategies at each stage of the project, including design, modeling, and implementation
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory, risk management, and internal Data Policies and Standards

What we’re looking for:

• Requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related technical field and at least seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in role offered, as Data Architect, Database/Systems Analyst, Database Administrator, or in a related role developing data models. In the alternative, employer will accept Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in stated fields and five (5) years of experience in stated occupations
• Must have five (5) years experience with: (1) Using Oracle Database to design and implement data structures for data warehouse and online applications; (2) Using Application Design and Development to ensure database design meets the requirements of specific application; (3) Using SQL Programming and Tuning to conduct performance tuning to improve batch performance; (4) Performing database, data warehouse and data lake design on various data platforms (Oracle, SQL, Hadoop); (5) Analyzing root cause of data issues in order to enhance data design and improve data quality and control; and (6) Using data management standards and record management policies to assist with documentating metadata, data lineage, and data quality issues, and to conduct authoritative data source assessment
