Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, statements, and quarterly reports to communicate the financial state of business.
• Accountable for timely and accurate oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Monitor the company's financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs.
• Maintain general ledger daily.
• Implement policies and procedures for financial reporting.
• Assist leadership with important financial decisions.
• Supervise the accounting support team, including evaluating employee performance and providing real time coaching.
• Play a central role in the coordination of internal and external audits, turning results into actionable insights and robust controls that safeguard the organization's financial health.
• Oversee month-end inventory inputs, investigate variances / review the resulting adjustments.
• Investigate discrepancies and implement procedures to remedy incorrect transactions.
• Support additional corporate business needs (as needed).

Strongly Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
• CPA, MBA or other professional designation preferred
• 10 years relevant accounting experience
• System integration / implementation experience strongly preferred
• Clear written and oral communication skills
• Proven leadership skills and team contributor
• Extensive Microsoft Office proficiency, most notably excel
• Responsible, dependable, adaptable, pro-active and efficient
• Ability to easily and quickly adapt to changing project demands and needs
• Self-starter, able to identify problem areas and brainstorm and present recommended solutions
• Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills
• Experience in the automotive industry preferred
