Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, including those with autism
- Assist in behavior management and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Help with classroom management and ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Support students in their literacy education and promote language development
- Assist with toddler care, including diapering, feeding, and naptime routines
- Collaborate with the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons
Skills:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or classroom setting
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with students with special needs
- Strong behavior management skills and the ability to handle challenging behaviors effectively
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and strategies for supporting individuals with autism
- Excellent classroom management skills to create an engaging and structured learning environment
- Knowledge of literacy education principles and techniques for promoting early literacy skills
- Ability to provide nurturing care to toddlers, including meeting their basic needs and ensuring their safety
