Surveyor Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Surveying or related field preferred
• Proficiency in using surveying instruments and equipment
• Strong mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry
• Knowledge of drafting techniques and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints
• Experience with Trimble software or an equivalent software program
• Familiarity with GPS is required
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Surveyor Responsibilities and Duties:

• Use surveying instruments and equipment, such as, GPS, total stations and robotic instruments
• Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and digital records of survey data
• Perform calculations and analysis to determine distances, angles, elevations and areas
• Create detailed maps, plats, as-builts and reports based on survey data using software
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide accurate survey information for project planning and design
• Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations and safety protocols
