D.L. George and Sons Manufacturing Company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to maintain quality standards and meet customer requirements by approving first piece production, in-process production and finished products; recording quality results.

Quality Control Inspector Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Ability to read weld symbols and working knowledge of AWS D1.1 weld acceptance criteria.
• Proficient math skills and problem solving abilities.
• Previous experience with ISO 9001:2015 and AISC 207-23 & 420-10 quality management systems.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have basic computer skills and documentation/reporting skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.

Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities and Duties:

• Inspection and approval of first piece, in process and final inspections to production products.
• Inspection methods to include, but not limited to: Visual, Precise Measuring Devices, CMM (FARO, Arm & Tracer), weld gauges.
• Inspection criteria to industry standards, such as, ASW D1.1.
• Inspection performed to, but not limited to: blueprints, work order router instructions, customer requirements that extend beyond industry and D.L. George Manufacturing standards.
• Communicating issues to production floor supervision.
• Documenting and reporting non-conformances to the Quality Manager.
• Ability to work independently.
• Enforcement of the DLGM ISO 9001:2015 and AISC 207-23 & 420-10 Quality Management System.
• Other quality control department duties as assigned to include, but not limited to: calibration, internal auditing, training & high strength bolting techniques.
