Reports to: Executive Director

The Program Assistant acts as a point of contact regarding all on-going community based programs under the Encompass Recreation umbrella. This individual will also be responsible for attending community outreach activities within the local communities served. Additionally this position is responsible for the coordination of Open Doors site visits and certifications. Other administrative and management duties as assigned by the Executive Director. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify possible Community Based Programs 
• Support the program host sites regarding promotion and registration when required
• Provide initial start-up support for community Lego Clubs
• Collect and report on demographics and numbers regarding program
• Coordinate with and conduct site visits for on-going programs
• Coordinate with and conduct Open Doors site visits for certification purposes
• Attend community events for outreach purposes
• Support and develop plans for supporting sites with conduct conflicts 
• Assist in on-going program assessment surveys regarding specific community based programs and report findings Executive Director 
• Attend continuing education opportunities which support the mission, vision, and values of Encompass Recreation. 

Job Requirements:

• Be comfortable, accepting, and welcoming to those with different support needs
• Proficient computer skills, particularly Google Suite 
• Timely completion of documentation 
• Organized and effective time management skills 
• Public speaking/outreach experience 
• Effective digital communication skills 
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Social Work, Public Health, Education or another related field preferred, Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma. Consideration will be given to lived experience.
