We are seeking a Certified, experienced and dedicated Environmental Specialist to join Back Roads Services. As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing sustainable practices.

You will work on a variety of projects related to environmental management, data collection, and project engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the Back Roads Services effort for continuous improvement and risk avoidance as these factors relate to environmental matters
  • Conduct environmental assessments and surveys to identify potential risks or impacts
  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Provide guidance on environmental best practices and recommend strategies for minimizing environmental impact
  • Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Conduct research on environmental laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications :

  • Must Be Certified in one of the following : OPSWPPP, CESSWI, CPESC, CISEC or CEPSCI
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
