Job Description
We are seeking a Certified, experienced and dedicated Environmental Specialist to join Back Roads Services. As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing sustainable practices. You will work on a variety of projects related to environmental management, data collection, and project engineering.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the Back Roads Services effort for continuous improvement and risk avoidance as these factors relate to environmental matters
- Conduct environmental assessments and surveys to identify potential risks or impacts
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Provide guidance on environmental best practices and recommend strategies for minimizing environmental impact
- Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Conduct research on environmental laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- Must Be Certified in one of the following: OPSWPPP, CESSWI, CPESC, CISEC or CEPSCI
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
- Experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
