The Underwriting Services Training Team of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Instructional Designer to join our team. The Instructional Designer will report directly to the Underwriting Services Training Manager and work collaboratively with all departments to create e-learning and other training resources to support the learning needs of Underwriting Services. This role needs to be proficient in adult learning and understand how to deliver content in ways that are best received based on the audience, background and experience of a diverse employee base and our external business partners. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Creates e-learning modules featuring simulations, assessments, and user interactions. Updates Training Templates and other materials to maintain consistency with Everest branding. Creates user guides, job aids, and other training materials across multiple platforms and segments. Drives the application of Adult Learning Principles in all training materials. Facilitates instructor-led training across multiple platforms and business segments as needed. Provides guidance to Specialist I and II in creation of job aids, guides, and other resources. Works independently to manage projects and meet training deliverables. Ensure all training materials meet appropriate quality standards. Explores and advocates for use of new training platforms and methods. Qualifications, Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred or relevant work experience. 2-4 years training experience, with a focus on e-learning and instructional design. Experience/Knowledge of insurance industry. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Excellent Communication Skills. Ability to work constructively in a team environment as well as independently. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Webex, or comparable virtual learning platform preferred. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS word, PowerPoint, Excel). Organized and detail oriented. Ability to communicate with a variety of levels within the organization. Provide feedback to students and management teams. Assess performance based on skills assessment taken post-training. Fosters team commitment. Adaptability. Learning Orientation.
