North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission is Hiring a Marketing Coordinator Near Wake, NC

Description of Work

The NC Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) Mission Statement is to conserve North Carolina’s wildlife resources and their habitats and provide programs and opportunities that allow hunters, anglers, boaters and other outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy wildlife-associated recreation. The Commission is the regulatory agency responsible for the enforcement of N.C. fishing, hunting, trapping and boating laws. The NCWRC employs over 700 full-time staff across the state, including wildlife and fisheries biologists and technicians, wildlife law enforcement officers, wildlife educators, communication specialists, customer service, information technology, and administrative professionals.
The Office of Communications, Marketing and Digital Engagement (CMDE) engages North Carolina’s citizens and visitors in understanding their connections to the state's natural resources, particularly its wildlife resources, and to the agency. The primary function of CMDE is to impart messaging designed to facilitate the conservation of the state's natural and wildlife resources, their habitats, and the environment humans share with these resources. CMDE provides targeted support for efforts to increase the agency's constituency base, promote specific activities and events, maintain and enhance corporate and partnership support of agency programs, and develop marketing initiatives to accomplish the agency's mission. CMDE is directly responsible for all agency's communications and marketing efforts, including internal and external communication, video development, photography, agency websites, social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo, NextDoor and LinkedIn), graphics design and the agency’s magazine, Wildlife in North Carolina.
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is accepting applications for a Marketing Coordinator for our Communications, Marketing and Digital Engagement (CMDE) Division. The primary purpose of this position is to provide the Marketing Administrator and Marketing Strategist with a wide array of marketing support including outdoor industry relationship management, campaign tracking and reporting, creating and coordinating content production, social media marketing optimization, event management and by serving as Wildlife in North Carolina magazine circulation manager and State Employees Combined Campaign manager.
The work schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This position may require occasional overtime and travel. This position is eligible for telework under the agency’s current telework policy of one day per week as approved by management. This position will be based out of the Wildlife Resources Commission Headquarters building in Raleigh, NC (Wake County).
