What You'll Do:

As a Sales Account Manager, you will develop, plan, manage, and execute on sales strategies and manage customer accounts to meet and exceed customer expectations and profitability goals.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Manages and grows new and existing accounts by building effective relationships and providing ongoing customer support to enhance the sales volume for long-term, sustainable growth.
  • Researches, qualifies and follows up on leads to maintain a steady sales funnel and continuously drive sales.
  • Utilizes various systems and techniques to develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers to support continued growth and reach sales goals. 
  • Makes sales calls to get new projects and manages projects as they go to update and resolve issues with clients as needed.
  • Manages, plans, and prioritizes sales call activity to ensure current projects are on track.
  • Makes follow up calls to ensure projects were completed properly and customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Updates all information in the sales system to ensure the company is aware of project status and any other related info.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED; will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 1 years of sales, project/account management experience preferred; Must have an agricultural background with an understanding of crops and pesticides.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Needs to be willing and able to pass pesticide testing.
  • Functional Skills: Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Strong research, planning, execution, and follow through skills. Ability to communicate clearly and execute professional selling skills to provide persuasive sales techniques. Solid math skills and experience budgeting, creating proposals and aligning activities to meet goals. Effective at problem-solving and providing solutions to clients. This role requires excellent planning and time management skills as well.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong computer skills and experience with sales systems are needed.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills required.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Customer-focused, self-motivated, possessing a drive to meet sales plans. Energetic and honest with the ability to listen, network, collaborate, and influence individuals and teams. Can build and maintain relationships with ease. Active listener who can document and communicate critical information.
  • Culture Match Behaviors: Team-oriented, collaborative, gets along well with others; yet be responsible to ensure the work is complete, on-time, and accurate.

Other Important Information:

Position Pay: $70,000-$90,000 per year as a base salary. Negotiable for the right person.

Reports To: Operations Manager

Core Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm in office during busy season (April to October); can work remote during off season.

Typical Work Week: Monday to Friday

Direct Reports: None

Work Conditions: Office Environment with some travel to customers (outdoor, agricultural/farming environments)

Travel: Limited travel required
