KinderStop After School Teachers must be passionate about teaching children, engaging with children, and helping them progress. Group childcare and/or classroom management experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must have experience in a professional childcare setting and/or have completed or currently be enrolled in higher education classes.

Responsibilities of the job include:

• Responsible for the safety of students; supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times.

• Facilitates scheduled program activities to keep students engaged

• Practices structured and positive classroom management

• Helps with the general housekeeping tasks

• Maintains a professional attitude towards fellow KinderStop employees and school employees, at all times

• Treats all children with dignity and respect

• Attends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences
• Helps to maintain a neat and organized classroom

• Reports to the site lead teacher any problem which may occur with the children
• Performs additional program duties as assigned by the site lead teacher and/or director according to the program needs

• Participates in dismissal procedures at the end of after care, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adult
• Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere
• Participates in Parent Open House prior to school
• Participates in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice
• Must be willing to be back ground checked and drug tested prior to start date
• Must hold or be willing to obtain current certifications in CPR and First Aid

Pay: $12.00 per hour
