Do you have at least three years of experience working as a Human Resources Specialist? If you have been working with benefits administration, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment / employment, affirmative action, workers compensation and employment law compliance, then you can be the ideal candidate.
The Human Resource Specialist will provide support including but not limited to :
Resolving problems by utilizing HR knowledge and business experience.
Managing multiple projects concurrently and seeing them through to completion.
Monitoring employee eligibility for insurance benefit plans; reviewing benefits with employees and processing enrollment, cancellation or changes.
Administering safety meetings, policies, procedures, and compliance.
Maintaining all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by state and federal law.
Managing and tracking employee disciplinary actions.
Ensuring compliance with I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
Assisting with interview process and conducting exit interviews, as needed.
Facilitating training for employees.
Managing workers’ compensation claims and return to work programs.
Maintaining personnel files.
Partnering with the executive management team to execute operational goals.
Performing other duties as assigned.
What you need :
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience; PHR, SPHR is a plus
Must have 3 years of relevant HR experience
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but no required
Strong communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and HRIS system)
Knowledge of California employment law.
