Authority Dock and Door is Hiring a Service coordinator Near Vancouver, WA

As the Service Coordinator you will come on board and ensure Authority Dock & Door continues to provide excellent customer service to our customers, consisting of National Accounts, General Contractors, and independent businesses.

This will include creating work orders, quoting parts / labor for installations and service, and communicating with our field technicians.

The perfect candidate will bring experience in construction or construction-related trade industries, but all successful candidates will bring motivation to learn, office admin skills, and excellent communication (written and verbal) to assist with seeing the job through to the end.

We will provide a supportive work environment, hands-on training and development in our construction-adjacent industry, and an open-door policy where we value respect, hard work, and the satisfaction of knowing a job well done means our customers are happy.

Daily Responsibilities :

Take incoming phone calls.

Provide quotes for customers - 80% National Accounts / 20% independent business.

Manage service requests from and for customers.

Navigate customer issues, troubleshoot, and provide creative solutions.

Maintain positive working relationships with our vendors and business partners.

Support VP Sales, Service Manager, and Operations Manager as needed.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Timely responses to customer emails / phone calls.

Manage workflow and communications in an organized manner.

Provide quotes for parts and services for Authority's customers.

Accept work order requests from our National Account partners on their various platforms, and become proficient with each Account's processes.

Follow up with National Account representatives with updates of job progress.

Create work orders in Service Fusion, update regularly, and see jobs through to their completion.

Order materials for jobs from a variety of vendors and suppliers.

Required Skills / Abilities :

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to navigate and utilize the internet for research.

Proficient operation of standard office equipment (i.e. phone system, printer, scanner / fax, computer).

Good decision-making skills and response to high pressure situations.

Willingness to learn commercial door & dock industry vocabulary.

Eagerness to provide outstanding customer service.

Excellent organization and prioritization skills.

Strong written and verbal communication.

Dependability and excellent attendance history.

Outstanding attention to detail and a need for accuracy.

Education and Experience :

High School Diploma / GED.

Some college preferred.

1 year of administrative experience.

1 year of customer service / customer facing experience.

Industry knowledge and familiarity of commercial door / construction industry a plus.

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to access and navigate office and warehouse, including stairs to a 2nd floor.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs. at a time.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time (up to 8 hrs).

Travel Requirements :

This position does not require travel, but reliable transportation to / from Aurora, OR is expected.
