Devops Release Manager

Skills:

• Good hands on experience of using JIRA, confluence, Service Now
• Basic knowledge on DevOps tools like Jenkins, Github, etc
• Agile methodology
• Ability to coordinate between cross-functional teams
• Excellent Communication Skills - verbal and written (mandatory)

Role and Responsibilities

• Understand the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and plan the release windows and cycles across work streams
• Manage/Identify and resolve issues that affect release scope and schedule
• Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and they meet expectations
• Handling Release in all lower like QA, CPV, Training and production environments.
• Communicate all key project plans, commitments and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at onshore and offshore
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and release Go/No-Go reviews
• Produce Deployment Run Books and Implementation Plans
• Release Reporting as and when needed
• Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
• Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
• Work with release engineers/DevOps team to understand impacts of branches and code merges
• Maintains the release schedule for all work streams and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
• Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
• Participate in meetings to discuss release activities
• Maintains a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, notification lists, Runbooks
• Should have experience of leading a 4 to 5 member team
