Advertised Job SummaryUnder general supervision, performs experiments using cutting-edge techniques to study how the brain regulates aversive and appetitive behaviors with relevance to anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, learning, memory, and addiction. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is established in support of expanded research activities.
Required Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related field.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Biochemistry/Chemical Biology, Psychology, Pharmacology, or a related field.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPrevious experience handling rodents and with rodent behavioral tests is preferred but not required. Previous research experience is preferred but not required. Either a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Biochemistry / Chemical Biology, Psychology, Pharmacology, or a related field is required or a high school diploma with 4 years of related research experience. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
Job DutiesJob DutyConducts experiments with rodents including behavioral assays and surgical interventions and well as analyzing experimental data and record keeping.
