SummaryThe Kwan lab at the University of Michigan is recruiting post-doctoral scholars for two NIH-funded positions to study neural circuit development, chromatin regulation, and neurodevelopmental disorders using genetic, genomic, genome-editing, and imaging techniques. Post-doctoral scholars in the Kwan lab will have the freedom to choose from several creative projects with exciting preliminary data and access to significant resources within the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI) and the Department of Human Genetics. The lab is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, diverse, and nurturing training environment. Each trainee in the Kwan lab develops an individualized mentoring and training plan tailored to their career goals. Trainees can expect to be directly mentored on grant writing, paper writing, teaching, manuscript review, oral presentation, and job search. The University of Michigan provides a scientifically rich and highly collaborative environment ideal for trainees. Post-doctoral scholars benefit from direct interactions with faculty and ample opportunities to present their research in formal and informal settings. These post-doctoral positions are fully funded, with competitive stipend, excellent benefits, moving expense reimbursement, and signing bonus.

Required Qualifications*
Must possess either a Ph.D or a professional doctorate (e.g. M.D., DD.S., D.V.M).
Background Screening
